Okay, Murphy’s law kicks into high gear when you try to adopt a child in a hurry.

But we have seen so many prayers answered in such a short time.

Please keep praying with us.

We need:
Tim’s blood test results to be done in record time.

All of the medical documents to be done correctly the first time.  (Not too worried, the office manager there has been VERY helpful.)

Our homestudy to be finished in a rush with everything properly “attached” (after our social worker gets back from vacation – sigh).

Everything that is out to be apostilled right now to be sent back to us in a hurry.

Our police clearances to be handled correctly and expeditiously.

Thank you all so much!

  1. I'll be praying for your family and for the obstacles to fall away.

I truly believe God chose your family for Duncan and when He's made a decision He makes it happen.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but, there were quite a few families that committed to Duncan but one thing or another did not work out. My family received word that the family that was in process was not able to continue (I don't know why) and my parents began their home study. There was concern that my parents would not be approved in the Ukraine because they have another non-related family living with them. They didn't want to risk it since Duncan has no room for error, so they stepped aside and the Morton's stepped up. As you know, the Morton's had an issue and also had to step aside.

That's at least 3 families that loved Duncan enough to say yes, but the doors just weren't opened (and in some cases, they were flat out closed).

Doors have been opening for you though and that's because Duncan is meant to be living the good life eating home grown veggies and playing with his siblings on your farm!

  3. Cathy,
So excited for your family and all that you have in the works with the garden and then Duncan. The possibilities are endless when children/teenagers are given a good environment to grow and your family will certainly provide that. Reece’s Rainbow is such a wonderful organization. I’ve often thought that someday I will have the means to be blessed to fill my home with one or more of Reece’s kids or some of the endless souls that fill our country’s foster care system. Firm believer that all that’s meant to be will work out if we give it our all. Putting my prayers your way.

  4. Praying for you! I still have pictures for you of Duncan from our adoption journeys when you have time, I'd love to send them to you. (I had started gathering them for the Mortons)

  6. How's the process going? I am sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.

Also - how can I find the original 'story'? I wanted to let my husband read what had touched my own heart, but am having trouble finding it on RR. Thanks, and thinking of you all.
