Laundry Room

Time is short and we need to finish converting the laundry room to a bedroom. Thanks to help from our good friend Chris we were able to get the rough framing done today.

On the left is the opening for the bedroom closet. The right side is the back of the washer/dryer closet that faces into the bathroom. Our 16 year old son, Holden, and I had already done the tear out the previous weekend.

Going to do electrical and plumbing now so we can get the sheet rock up before we go. Two weeks and counting.

Let the chaos begin.  We received our travel date yesterday and we are not exactly ready to go.  In the next few weeks we are going to need to complete a number of household projects, arrange for Cathy's parent's to come stay with our kids, compile all our documentation, clear my leave of absence with work, and pack, just to name a few of the more pressing priorities.  The most stressful part is making sure you don't forget anything as we are not exactly traveling a short distance.

God has been incredibly gracious and generous to us during this whole process.  We have 100% faith that He will continue to be with us during this chaotic time of preparation.  Please be praying for peace and our upcoming travel.  Also, that all our needs, spiritual, physical and financial will be met. And most importantly, for our new son, that God will protect and keep him and soften his heart to the idea of coming to live with this.  This is going to be huge decision for him, one that will affect the rest of his life.

We will do our best to keep the blog up to date.
