Coming Home

I know many of you have been waiting and praying for Duncan to make his decision and he decided this morning that it would be in his best interest to stay in his country.  As you can imagine it was extremely  heartbreaking as we know the challenges he will face when he leaves the orphanage.  He needs prayer now more than ever.

We are frantically trying to make arrangements to leave the country and I will update everyone later this evening or tomorrow.

I can't thank all of you enough for your continued thoughts and prayers.

  5. Tim & Cathy, my heart is breaking for your family & Duncan... he is missing out on one of the most beautiful, loving, & Godly families I know. As you've said several times, God is in control, & He has a plan & a purpose for this. He is good, He always is, and always will be. His glory will shine through your experiences! God bless y'all! Our prayers are with y'all!

  6. I too have continued to follow your journey. I believe that Duncan meeting you was for a divine purpose. You obeyed and went where the Lord sent you and only He knows the reason for everything. I know you made an impact on Duncan's life. Safe travels home and I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

  15. My heart is broken for both you and Duncan. I'm so sorry...I will most definitely continue praying for this sweet boy...
God bless you for going out on this journey of faith! I am sure his heart will forever be touched that you cared enough to come all the way to his country to show him you love him. God has a perfect plan in all of this. I'm praying for you, as well.

  16. It's hard that after how much you wanted to give him a better life he preferred to keep things the way they are. Most likely God has some other little one (or not so little) who is desperate to have a family and a home. A child who wants to be adopted is a much better match for any family. I can imagine how difficult it all seems now--but maybe in a few months you'll see clearly why it had to be that way. God bless, Lillian Godone-Maresca

  17. I will keep Duncan in my prayers. This is so sad. I can't imagine how afraid he is and I am so angry that people there would feed that fear. I will pray for those people as well, that God will change their hearts.

  18. Prayers. It is hard for us to imagine having to make such a decision, and yet he could have had SO MUCH if he had said YES! Truly heartbreaking. :(
